Does it happen in any specific levels, or just in general? Music plays fine for me.

I was in special stage 2 in NiGHTS score attack when I found this.

I can confirm it happens in other levels. It also seems to start the music again if you unfocus and refocus the game or retry again.

Yup, it only happens in special stages. In normal stages, if you retry the stage while the game is paused, then you'll start the stage already paused. You then unpause, and the music starts.

In special stages, pausing and then retrying the stage causes it to unpause automatically, which doesn't restart the music. You can fix this by just pausing then unpausing.

Honestly, you shouldn't be allowed to pause in Record Attack/NiGHTS Mode anyway.
