Does XWE support Vista?

Ok, I just got my laptop back.

It's a new model, and it has Vista.

Now I tried to download the XWE beta, and it successfully worked.

But when I tried to open a WAD file in XWE, it said this "List index out of bounds (3)" It'll also say that whenever I try to make a new WAD file

Please assist.

Yeah, that happened to me once too. It happened when I downloaded it from the "Full XWE beta with last fix relevant to SRB2 editing" link. Then I tried it from the other link and it worked fine.

Right-click XWE and go to Run as Administrator.

Thats all I had to do to make XWE work on my Vista computer.

Heh, that and, maybe your not importing the files right. If it's MP3, forget it, XWE will refuse to import it, as far as I know.

XWE does import MP3s. Some people just like to say things when they have no idea what they're talking about. :)

Anyway, yeah, it does support MP3. Vista's just an asshole.

No, in fact, XWE cannot run ANY type of OS.

On the other hand, Vista CAN run XWE. :P

Its not MP3's, its plain old music files, non-MP3's, okay!

...The only other commonly used type that isn't MP3 is WMA, and even that's dying away rather quickly. MP3 is currently the most common music type.

And XWE will import just about anything. It's what SRB2 supports that you're likely having problems with.

SRB2 supports OGGs, MP3s, WAVs, S3Ms, MIDIs, MODs, XMs and ITs.
Use this for help on setting up additional/replacement audio in SRB2.

From my experience, it just crapped it up. Ah well, maybe it's a new version or something. :P
