Sometimes Duck makes stuff in lua I guess?

Slowly but surely, I am turning SRB2 into TF2. This capture point works like TF2's KOTH point. Eventually I will add the countdown timers which will result in a win for red/blue team.

When I make stupid things, sometimes I will post stupid gifs in this stupid thread.

2fort for me.

(In all seriousness, good work! If I wasn't so disenfranchised with multiplayer gamemodes, I'd enjoy playing this.)

I want Tails to build Sentries <3
But what you made is awesome! Maybe making the floor changing color after capping will make more sense and will help to know if you're doing in the right direction when it'll be in 5CP maps.

Nope, at the moment there is no way to win the game. Working on that.

EDIT: Not sure how I'm gonna do this, I don't know how to end the game in a win for red/blue team.

I LOVE this! You should give each character a class, like Sonic can be a scout (Give him a double jump and the ability to cap faster), Tails and Engineer (Go crazy here.) and Knuckles as Soldier or Demoman (Rocket Jump and rocket/grenade launchers pls)

I am so hyped for what you are working on! Keep it up!

If you want to play Team Fortress 2 without any sense of Sonic, play Team Fortress 2, not Sonic Robo Blast 2. Problem solved easily, and with much more stable netcode as far as I've read on the forums.

He was just suggesting ideas. No need to be a dick about it.

One gametype is enough. SRB2 isn't TF2 and shouldn't be suggested to become one.

I don't see why not. I actually love stuff like this; making one game seem like another, either in looks or in gameplay. SRB2 isn't portal either, yet I've made portal maps for it. It also isn't klonoa, yet maps and character wads for it exist. I personally encourage things like this because of how creative and amusing it is. After all, that is how SRB2 first came to be; Sonic isn't DooM, but why the hell not make it be?

This is quite useful. Are you able to do csay-based messages like "The opposite team is taking the point!" It would add to the atmosphere of the game.

Amusing, sure. Creative...

I mean don't get me wrong, the fact that capture points were ported at all is cool. But would you honestly want to play capture points in a mod of SRB2 that's so close to TF2 that you may as well play the source material, or would you rather experience how capture points interact with SRB2's already unique mechanics?

In this gamemode, there are 3 neutral points to fight over. The teams begin with 500 seconds on the clock. Each control point owned by a team decreases that team's timer by 1 per second, for a max of 3. This is what the HUD will look like:

Once either team brings the timer to 0, all the capture points are disabled and a message pops up on the screen declaring the winner.5 seconds later, the map ends.

Oh, so it's Domination.

Yep. Don't think this is the only game mode that this will support, though. I just decided to change KOTH into this due to the fact that combat in SRB2 shouldn't be focused on one point in the center of the map. Next I will try 5cp, I think.
