The difference between the two is, SRB2 attempts to emulate the classic gameplay style, while Sonic GL seeks to capture the faulty game design of the modern titles.
For that matter, why, pray tell, are you asking SRB2 fans if they like SRB2 or a completely different project better? If you asked fans of Mario if they like Mario or Pac-Man better, which do you think the majority would pick?
Besides, we haven't really gotten to play Sonic GL. It looked like a linear exercise in holding forward last I looked at it, though. Even more so than Sonic Adventure.
SRB2 is SO wildly different from Sonic Adventure it's honestly hard to compare.
