Okay, we've had some issues in the past with this topic, but a lot of people want to keep it around, so we're going to try AGAIN.

A few ground rules to know:
1. Try to keep it short. tl;dr quotes that take ages to get to the punch line aren't nearly as awesome as 10 lines.
2. Don't quote yourself. It's just bad taste.
3. If your quote is supposed to be funny, please make sure it's ACTUALLY funny. Get someone else to read your quote before posting it. If they don't chuckle, it's probably not worth posting.

Hopefully we can get this topic going without stupid drama this time. This topic WILL be moderated, please don't complain if your post suddenly disappears.

That doesn't really work out too well. Unfunny people usually associate themselves with other unfunny people.
 
I agree, Bigboi, but a basic requirement here is that someone OTHER than the author should find it funny at least.

The minimum post length is rather annoying when the ideal IRC quote length is just a few lines.
 
We aren't changing that setting. Plus, I am sure you can come with a simple sentence to go with the quote. It isn't that hard.
