All's in the title. Is this possible to reduce the render size of the skybox? Because mine looks... huge, even with small textures.

Alright thanks.
Are the infos already avaiable in the wiki or have I to try myself every value?

They're not on the wiki yet right now, so just experiment for now maybe?
I think positive values are supposed to make them larger than life, and negative values smaller than life.

so 0 will be equal to the life if I'm right.
btw, gonna test it.

EDIT: doesn't seems to work, tried 0, -50, -100 without any results :|

If I'm reading the source correctly (haven't tested it myself):

  • a value of 1 makes the skybox camera move at the same rate as the level camera
  • larger positive values make it move slower
  • negative values make it move faster
  • a value of 0 stops it from moving

You can also (I think) set these separately per axis with SKYBOXSCALEX, SKYBOXSCALEY, and SKYBOXSCALEZ level header variables.

The scale essentially multiplies the offset from the center of the skybox. You'll have to either plan out the scale yourself or trial and error till you get what you want. You might try building the skybox around the level and then scaling it down and moving it and using the inverse of that scale factor as the scale factor; that's how source mappers usually do it.
