Look, Glaber, up until now this hasn't been intended to be taken personally, but since you're going to take it personally no matter what I do or say, this will be a rather blunt post, so I want you to LISTEN to what I'm telling you because it's clear something is causing a disconnect:
Your maps are bad. This is "glaber syndrome". It is not something to be proud of, and it's not something you of all people should repeat. There could be any number of reasons for this, I'm not going to wager a guess as to why you keep making bad maps, but there are a couple of things that you keep doing that CERTAINLY don't help matters:
1. You make maps to "make a point", despite the fact that nobody cares. You've whined about SS7 already, we get it. We don't care that you think it's too hard, it was made that hard ON PURPOSE and I knew how hard it was when I put it into the game. Making a stage with intentionally bad design on purpose, pulling off of some of the worst special stages we ever made to try to make your stage even worse, does NOT help your point. In fact it just makes you look like an idiot because of the absurdity of the thought process: "I don't like this gimmick, so I'll make a REALLY bad stage to prove how bad it is". This is just a completely laughable argument. Stop doing this or we'll start calling it trolling and ban you.
2. You make stages that try to use some idea that you think is "clever", but turns out to be incredibly awful in practice. Your ports all fall under this problem. Just because a gameplay idea works in one game does not mean it'll work in SRB2, and when you force it into the game you end up with god-awful results. I don't think I need to point to an example from this, because almost all of your stages do this, but here's the solution to this: Do not try to be "clever" and change the formula until you understand the formula to begin with. SRB2 has a specific gameplay style. We change this style occasionally for variety, but the gameplay basically stays intact. Before you change the style for variety, please make some successful maps that use the basic SRB2 design, for the love of god.
There are plenty of ways to fix your maps, but I'd say the number one, most important thing you need to do is look at the official maps and try to emulate the style. WHY does Greenflower Zone Act 2 work? WHY does Jade Valley Zone work? Why doesn't YOUR stage? If you can answer those questions you will be far closer to actually making decent maps. Stop trying to make a point and stop trying to be overly clever. It doesn't work and it just means you make ANOTHER god-awful map that continues the Glaber Syndrome and continues your streak of making some of the worst levels ever made for SRB2.
Now let's end this stupid drama and go back to the POINT of this topic: Posting WIP screenshots.
