NiGHTS Special Stage Preview

So, what's the music going to be? Hope it isn't the current Special Stage music.
 
I think it would be pretty cool if the special stages played similar to current Sonic games special stages. As in, you'll play each special stage after each zone. It would also make more sense as you would be playing a Techno Hill special stage after Techno Hill, Green Flower SS after GF, etc. After you unlock the special stage, you can replay it in the level select option.

Or you know, the tokens work great too. Just wondering how these special stages are going to work in multiplayer. Aren't the hoops/rings only "obtainable" once? Meaning only one player will be boosting to the end while everyone stays behind.

They could always just respawn like rings and that in Match, it shouldn't be too hard to fix up.
 
If you've ever played NiGHTS coop, it should add the collected spheres to the total the way current special stages do

NiGHTS uses placement patterns extensively. You know, the ones that don't respawn no matter what.

I *think* he meant the hoops, they don't count towards anything but score and would allow all the players to fill their drill dash meter. Maybe make it so hoops don't vanish in multiplayer, like the green hoops in Nights 2?

Haven't played NiGHTS in a while, forgot the spheres don't add to the boost meter + they replaced rings.
 
If memory serves, Super Sonic can't be damaged by sector hazards. Least, not water-based ones.
 
AFAIK, the only way Super Sonic can actually lose spheres at all is when he runs out of time for playing as NiGHTS Super Sonic.

If anything actually hurts him when in that form, he will merely be stunned briefly.

In special stages, not even that makes him lose spheres. He transforms back to Sonic and falls to the ground, but instead of spilling his rings, he just gets a time up.
 
Getting hit in special stages makes you lose time. You spin out a bit and are deducted 5 seconds from the clock.
 
This is very interesting, and I feel that perhaps the difficulty may be less.
The level design is amazing, they look great.
And add aid is a good idea for beginners.

It will be a great work of Sonic Team Jr.
