Sonic Classic Collection Hits the DS

Ditto; i'll take adjusted over zoomed any day. Was everyone really expecting a lossless perfect conversion from this? Also on the framerate issues have you played it yourself? Unless it's stuck at 10fps I don't really care. DS screens are not very responsive for fast motion anyway.

    Optical Illusions

That's more of a temporal retina burn than an illusion you can get with any contrastful image, though.

    Your favorite gaming console?

No, as in the day there was no "DOS on your TV!" movement anywhere back then; only the versa. Good luck finding an ISA video card with TV out. TV connectivity on a computer doesn't make it a console though, as it's chained to a keyboard and mouse which aren't exactly 10-feet theater solutions...

    Video game ideas?

The games industry are no longer about bright ideas, it's about milking the profit out of the lowest common denominators. As it tries to be more like the movie industry, there is a bigger thicker line dividing over-produced corporate cookie cutter (aka. "game of the year") and independent games...

New 2D Sonic game "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" announced for 2010

The question I wonder is, how did SEGA pick up such incompetent NDA-ignorant testers so easily for something very secret? If it were real that is...as it smells of attention stew at the moment. A unruly violated NDA means a serious legal wrath on the matter of exposure of trade secrets.

    It's Whoomp.

    Team Fortress 2 help.

Obviously not very good with latency sensitive games. Get wired or don't bother to play at all. Also, your router can be blocking ports the game uses. The RAM, video card or processor is not the problem here. Specs = System specifications. Popping open Dxdiag will get you some basic specs...

    Your favorite gaming console?

The NES. I grew up with it in the late '80s, and I still have not grown out of it. It's my all time favorite.

    Computer Shuts Down Randomly

It's a Pentium 4. If it overheats it'll just throttle. That kind of survival assurance is why it's a huge OEM favorite. Glad a new PSU fixed your problem though, I was going to suggest a long thorough run of memtest86+ and on defect, playing russian roulette with your physical memory.

    What exactly is a Whoop?

Whoop is synonymic for 'whatever'. It predates the internet and has nothing to do with certain unfunny racist internet memes.

    This big crazy capcom thing.

No you can't, because they didn't exist in January or March 2000. The rereleases do not change this chronological stance of the game's design.

What is the hardest first boss you've fought?

Anything in Revolution X you pick as your first is extreme hard particularily if you play any home console version. Midway games are always like that though especially with Mutoid Man in Smash TV.

    PS3 Game Suggestions

Valkyria Chronicles is supposed to be really great. I liked the demo at least, my brother owns it though I haven't played it myself. Bionic Commando Rearmed, and Street Fighter IV (might have to wait for the 'Super' version coming soon) are also good games to pick up as well.

    Duke Nukem Forever

You can always bet on Big the Cat too, but everyone hates him and want to kill him. So which is it? :( I don't believe DNF is dead. The production team employees on release doesn't mean "cancelled" as assumed by the press and speculation everywhere.

New 2D Sonic game "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" announced for 2010

Successful troll is successful. This is the most epic Sonic cycle ever, though I was skeptical about it all along.

    3D TV sets.

Do you remember how expensive VHS tapes were when they came out? Moore's law would equalize the prices like it always does. Hopefully you'll be stable enough to live long to see the price of a big 3D HDTV to be $150. I hope 3D TVs don't suffer from the headache issue VR glasses has had in the...

I should also mention I don't own any Sonic games. I just mooch off my loving siblings.

    Hi def DS "anounced"

High definition? Now that's assumed hype. I'd probably expect it would only have doubled its screen resolutions. Getting to 720p/1080p and expecting hours of battery life out of that in a handheld is darn near impossible. Either way it's standard PR fluff to make the console press world go...

What was your FIRST Sonic game?

First played Sonic 1 at a Genesis kiosk in Toys 'R Us (autoreset prevented me from going past Marble Zone). Didn't play through a game until Knuckles' Chaotix. One of these could be my first, but I was still introduced to Sonic in 1991.

    unappricated sonic characters

There's a Cosmo-ish in Sonic Shuffle, I suppose that's close enough. Guess what? He also has a bridge to sell you too! That picture doesn't even have any interlaced frames, it's obviously fake. Why does Sonic have to be the series that magnets a lot of this imagination?!
