Official SUGOI trilogy port project

I hope you'll be able to do what you've been waiting to do, now that .12 is out! I'm so excited! But like Smokey said, I will also be patient. After all, we've all already waited THIS long! Good luck!!
 
In addition of Emblems in multiplayer and allowing saving the game when addons are loaded, it appears that SPR2 refreshing has been added as well.

So now, it's only a matter of time until the SUGOI trilogy finally drops for 2.2.

I'm so excited.
 
You mean it finally be finalized for 2.2, right? I'm pretty sure save for a couple bugs there and here, SUGOI trilogy is ready to go, just needing to be bugtested.
Oh hey I was wondering about SUGOI, never actually played it cus I started in 2.2 so I hope the port gets finished soon!
I don't mean to put pressure on anyone or anything but from what i've seen it's gotten pushed back so much it might come out on 2.3 at this point.

I could be wrong but I feel like Sal might be diverting all her attention to Ring Racers atm, I overheard a Kart Krew dev saying nobody wants to push development of RR to next year so I'm betting on seeing Sugoi after RR drops.

Wait, RR is planned to be released this year?

There's no plans afaik, just implied that they want it to release this year because they don't want to drag development into next year. Doesn't necessarily mean anything tho, could still go into next year. I expect Sugoi next year too knowing what Sal/kart krew devs have on their plate (Sugoi, RR, Snap)

I expected this response after I made the post, trying not getting my hopes up too much xd
 
So, how is it going?

I have been working slowly because of Ring Racers (the earlier guess is very accurate), and the introduction of UDMF broke a lot more crap (not using UDMF, but some things about map processing were just fundamentally changed), so that was a bit demotivating. But I am glad to say that porting work is, as of a few days ago, at 100% again. Some bonus parts that have been non-functional for a while, like SUBARASHII's secret ending and KIMOKAWAIII's extra finale, are now also finally fully ported, so the list of issues seen going through every game is shrinking rapidly.

There was a bug that which has been making multiplayer testing very annoying, but I fixed it a couple days ago for 2.2.14: https://git.do.srb2.org/STJr/SRB2/-/merge_requests/2279

Progress on the "New Content" has been slow, but I have someone else handling "The Most Important New Content" entirely now. This means that even if I'm spending an entire day doing tedious micromanagement, then at least that isn't getting slowed down any more. There's also a handful of extra things I want to do, but I'm at the point where I'll just cut them if the "The Most Important New Content" gets finished first so I can release sooner.

Very much in the final stretch now. I'm still not going to make any promises because none of my predictions are correct these days and it's still not my highest priority, but I am optimistic at least.
