Share with us the funniest pic you can find. (56K WARNING)

By the way, in http://lawforkids.org/toons/view_toon.cfm?id=23, are they arresting him or giving him a ticket and taking away his license? Also, in that last frame, I suppose it's absolutely necessary to have the words "Ticket" and "License Revoked" written over the two items, because I never...

Share with us the funniest pic you can find. (56K WARNING)

http://lawforkids.org is possibly the most idiotic thing I've ever seen. For example, http://lawforkids.org/toons/view_toon.cfm?id=16 I can only imagine what will happen if they decide to walk home with him. Besides, the kids always have the same dumb looks on their faces. Either no expression...

    Windows Vista

*Sigh* While I suppose everyone is free to like his/her operating system, I simply enjoy having the freedom to look at the code, to see what I'm running, and all that stuff. I'm not an MS hater or a Linux zealot. I just enjoy Free software (and the operating systems which are free software, like...

    Windows Vista

Well, nobody has had the guts to respond for some time now, so I suppose it's safe to say that Windows Vista has been thoroughly owned. Nick

    Windows Vista

Tails92 is totally right. I can't wait to go buy a quantum computer and Windows Vista to get all of those features! Seriously, Microsoft's strategy is crap. I mean, instead of releasing for computers that exist and upgrade as computers become faster, they release an operating system with half...

    Windows Vista

I'm not trying to troll. I'm trying to give logical reason to show why I dislike it and its features. I just feel like it doesn't have any good new features to offer.

Looking for a linux port, and cant find it!

So, unless I got everyone against whom I play to use MinGW, there's no fix to this? So, just wondering, why not just explicitly state typecasting? As in: float foo = '13.37'; int *bar = (int*) malloc(sizeof(elephant)); *bar = (int) foo; Wouldn't that fix it? Nick Edit: Nevermind. I must have...

    Windows Vista

Anyways, I don't see what Windows Vista will have that KDE 4.0 won't have, and that MacOSX won't have. Wow! OpenGL on top of DirectX! That's beautiful, really! I'm sure most people can't wait to have their OpenGL graphics 50% slower. I personally value my freedom to use software any way I like...

    Windows Vista

I've seen some screenshots, and I must say it looks like Windows XP but everything looks a little darker. MS is going to pull off another half assed job which will be quickly surpassed by GNU/Linux or other free operating systems (free as in freedom, not free as in beer) with KDE 4.0. Oh, 4.0...

Looking for a linux port, and cant find it!

I'm using Gentoo, with glibc version 2.3.5, gcc version 3.3.5 and a cable internet connection. I get consistency errors, and they're more frequent when I play with more people. Jumping into water also gives me consistency errors. Thanks for your time, Nick

Looking for a linux port, and cant find it!

Consistency error. Hmm. Another problem. *Sigh*. I get tons of consistency errors with GNU/Linux playing against Windows users (I can rarely play for five seconds, it's so bad). I'm sure this is a known problem, but one I can't find much information about. Plus, I don't have a single Windows...

    Post Yer Pictures

Proprietary software makers reinventing the wheel is better than me writing code only for it to be used in proprietary software without giving me any credit for the work I put in. Yes, BSD is more stable, and can run on ancient machines. However, BSD does not necessarily run on more machines...

    Post Yer Pictures

BSD I hate to start a flamewar here, but, tails92, exactly what does BSD have that GNU/Linux doesn't? In fact, GNU/Linux is developing much more rapidly than BSD. Also, GNU/Linux is the only open source operating system that has gained market share. However, if GNU/Linux weren't an option, I'd...

Fixed Good debugging skill, Alam. I was having troubles with the boss as well. Basically, I commented that paranoia bit out, compiled it, and now it works fine. Nick

"This game should not be sold!"

Upon quitting SRB2, there is a message stating, "This game should not be sold!" We seem to have a misunderstanding of the GNU GPL, which permits selling. The only restriction is that the person to whom the seller is selling the game must have access to the source code, and has every right that...
