Probably a recreation based on Demo 1. I tried using the console commands to load different maps, and GFZ1 is the only map, which is consistent with Demo 1, and it also features the non-functioning SRB2 TGF signpost at the end. Either that, or this is a completely separate pre-Demo 1 build.

They could simply have it so that when you load a mod that it recognizes as being made for a previous version, it will automatically convert the mod to run on the current version. Or, at least, they could include the converter as a separate program.

On that note, we could probably have something similar to Wikipedia's adopt-a-user program, which guides new users through by letting more experienced users teach them.

I know that's a joke, but I would totally do that if I were sufficiently skillfil and talented, even if just to make the people who would want that happy.
