I'm still around, progress on the sprite hasn't been going so well. ._.; School has been beating me down with the homework stick, my GF broke up with me, and my scanner was on the fritz for a while. The sprite isn't dead. I'm going to get to it as soon as I find the time.

In SA, Sonic's quills are longer, his eyes are green, he's taller, the bottom of his shoes are metallic, and his shoes have a buckle. edit: Here's a link to show what I'm capable of.

I'm bored with nothing else to do, so, completely from scratch, armed with a pencil and a lot of paper, I'm going to make a sprite of Sonic, SA styled, I post a couple frames as a preview when I get them ready!
