There's also the matter of having the right pallete selected in the WAD editor you're using at the time you add the sprites to it. If you have the wrong pallete, the index numbers will be incorrect, and your poor sprite will look like it visited Acid Trip Zone.
Actually, in my experience, you can limit the camera's height by changing the floor/ceiling heights of a sector that's right behind the camera's viewpoint. I haven't done this in a while so it might not work so well, but I've seen it happen. The reason for it being slightly behind the...
If I recalll correctly, the automatic demo playback that Doom had was removed along with all the other Doom stuff that SRB2 didn't need ages ago. It'd be something nice to have back though.

I used to stuff myself in a tiny closet space as a kid, but in games I cannot stand tight spaces.
I'm 22, yet I sleep with a small Tails plushie.
I have moments where I seem to 'lose the plot', in that I'll sit there staring at and thinking nothing for several minutes.
I have this really...
Firefox occasionally screws up like that. I've never been able to figure out what causes it, but it only happens once in a blue moon, and restarting Firefox solves the problem immediately.
Use the supported (and for that matter, default) 640x400 instead. High resolution is not nessecarry for simply showing off a level, contrary to popular belief.
If you are honestly going to pursue this, look at how Sapphire Falls' level design is put together, and remember that a sunset atmosphere doesn't turn everything pure orange. Tone down the strength of the colormap, at the very least.
