So... I've been thinking about changing some of the badniks here, keeping their default look, but with different shading.

Jetty Bomber.

Made into a GIF to show it better.

Everything would be...

Textures
Character Sprites
Etc.

So no, not everything, Jetty Bomber, Jetty Gunner, Sharps, that turtle thing with spikes on the side as a start with v5, and some updates to some sprites that were already edited.

The Flame sprites are currently not flame-like, as you might see, the title screen's Ring color hasn't be updated fully to match the current Rings, etc. etc. etc.

Redid the HUD layout, Score has been moved, Time has been slightly moved, and the Ring counter has been redone.

Not to mention the TIME/SCORE/PLAYER names now appear.

Maybe you could replace the 'time' with a watch, and the 'score' with something else, because those things with text in them look quite unattractive.
If you're going to do that, you might as well remove the character's name, because the icons speak for themselves.

I see why you removed the Ring Counter Scouter. I approve. (no, I lost that image a while back.)

I could replace 'Time' with a watch, but how would the 'Score' work out? Pretty much most games Sonic games I've played had the world 'Score' or no no Score Icon or no Score until you hit the end results.

Leave the ring count as is, make the time be on a background, and put the score below the ring count.

If I put the score below the Ring count, it overlaps the Special stage Ring count. Unless you meant right below the Ring counter...

Maybe if you moved the score and put the lives a little more in the corner.

I had to use paint to move the hud icons since the WAD hasn't been released yet...

The black is where the original placements were.

Then the score will be like this... not to mention the score icon might overlap it. I have it spaced out to fit the score like this: ######## (Even though you can have a higher score than ########, so yea...)

Hey, just a quick item list.
2yy5rh4jpg.png

I also have the item boxes in there also.

Some HUD updates.
srb20001.png

Needed Rings in Special stages will appear to the right of your normal Ring Counter, so don't go thinking you have 2 Ring counters. >_> Also, moved the Time left into the lower right corner.

srb20002.png

Nothing much here, just showing that the new item icons don't overlap, also, for the Gravity Icon, since it's called Gravity Boots. I figure the icon should be Blue boots with some green light on the bottom.

srb20003.png

Laps for Race appear under your Ring Counter from now on.

(Note)
Enemies will remain their default forms, some being slightly changed, such as the Detons...
EDIT
srb20000w.png

Item boxes have been changed again, also, the 3rd Emerald is now Purple instead of Lavender.

Wow, this looks very good! However, I think the icons for the Recycler, Teleporter and Eggman Trap look ugly compared to the others. You seem to have a huge style switch with each update you make, so they look out of place.
Maybe you could add some buttons on the time icon, like a real stopwatch. That could make it look less like a recolored ring with a clock in it.
I was thinking of suggesting you to put the lap counter under the time counter, but that would overlap the Gravity Boots icon (which I think looks great) for reverse gravity-using race maps. If it is possible to move the Gravity Boots icon, this idea might be possible.
I preferred it when the Special Stage ring requirement was under the normal ring counter, if only you could move it back?
And lastly, I think you should leave the crosshairs alone. The original ones are simple and sweet, no need to change them.

Keep up the good work!
