Suggestions

Because the thing page tells you how to make the thing spike have collision using invisible, tangible FOFs.

I already suggested that thing spikes should have thing collision if they have a deaf flag, even before 2.0 was out to the general public. I believe the answer was that it will be for the next version, but I am not 100% sure.

I has a few Mario Mode suggestions. (Please note, i haven't read the previous pages. Only Page 1 Post 1.)

When you start Mario Mode, you're somewhat small (undecided scale) with 100% scale abilities. When you are hit, you instantly die. (See ShufflaRB2) (This will be referred to as Mini Sonic) (Note: No Special Ability, and no Spindash!)

~ITEMS~
Mushroom - Grow to normal size. Being hit turns you into Mini Sonic. If the item is hit via a block, it will move right in 2d mode, and a random direction in 3d. It will bounce off walls like the Koopa Shell.
Fire Flower - Turn white, grow to normal size. Being hit turns you to Sonic. (Mushroom).
Mini Mushroom - Go extremely tiny and fit through tiny holes! Being hit will kill you. You cannot defeat enemies. If the item is hit via a block, it will move like the Mushroom.
Mega Mushroom - Go extremely big and stomp through anything! Bricks and Enemies will break/die on touch, like invincibility. Limited time. Cannot be hit. If the item is hit via a block, it will run away from the player.
Star - Turn invincible on touch. Works like the Invincibility, except your person turns disco colour. If on the screen, it will bounce around to the right, except in 3D mode, where it will bounce around in a random direction. Bounces off walls like a Koopa Shell. Cannot be hit.
Spiky Mushroom - Grow to normal size and get the ability to Spindash. Being hit turns you to Mini Sonic. (Perhaps has limited time?)
Lakitu Cloud - Can only be gotten by using Fire on a Lakitu. Riding the cloud will enable you to move very slowly, but fly. You will slowly descend, but you can press Jump to go up (And UP in 2d mode). Being hit will hurt you to what ability you have and make the cloud dissapear.

~ENEMIES~
Goomba - Classic goomba. Does not follow the player, but walks in a random direction, and changes direction if there's a cliff or wall.
Koopa - Faster than Goomba movement. Spawns Koopa Shell on defeat.
Shy Guy - Crawla movement. Hit like normal enemies
Lakitu - Flies around dropping Spinys onto the player. Dosen't change vertical axis. Follows player. Hit like normal enemies.
Spiny - Walks around like a Goomba. Can only be hit with Fire or Invulnerability.
Boo - Follows the player like a Buzz. Will stop and become invulnerable if the player looks within 90 degrees of it.

Yeah. :P I just wanted to say that Mario Mode isn't really Mario-y right now. :P I'm not saying that you should add these on the official Mario Koopa Blast levels, but it would be nice to add them anyway.

4 - What happened to the Light dash and homing attack?
Lightdash has been removed, Homing Attack has been fixed. No more thokspeed when thokking without enemies around. The commands, however, have been completely, and utterly, removed.

Here's my suggestion: Enable OpenGL when it's finished. Those moving platforms in ACZ are 3D floors meant for OpenGL. I know this thanks to playing Skulltag, which has the same effect on said floors.

You've been told that it would be far too hard to use in the game, so why are you insisting on it being in a future version?

Because in a future version, it could be implimented so as not to be too hard to use. In the previous topic, I was inquiring about its use via mods/scripts to the current version; here, I am offering it as a suggestion for a new, real feature. JTE's MFE fixes netgame camera problems, and I think it would be a nice option witha better field of view. Please, do not act as though I am "insisting", that is insulting and implies that I am childish and petty. Based on your response, it is you who seems to be petty right now. Now further comment, as I do not wish to start a flame war. Blitz out.

The thing is, it doesn't work regardless of how it's suggested. SRB2 just doesn't work like that. See the previous topic for an explanation of why it doesn't work, I don't feel like repeating myself.

Get rid of the damn thok in race/circuit. Even WITH alternate paths for Tails/Knuckles players that trim parts of some of the newer levels, good thok-spammers are STILL able to finish 5 laps in the time it takes a Tails to finish 1.

Better idea.

Forceskin Sonic. Problem solved, everyone is on the same level.

(Also, we're not doing anything to the characters just for Race. This has been said multiple times. Get. Over. It.)

Race is about being the fastest to the finish.

Sonic is the fastest of all characters.

Conclusion: ????????????????

Blade's spider enemy gave me an idea.

What about a spider enemy suspended by a thread from ceiling? A way of defeating this enemy is cutting its thread and it will fall into a pit or another sector that damages enemies, or else if it land on floor, this enemy starts to walk. It can shot sticky substance at 0 or 45 degrees in vertical plane.

It should still be possible for slower characters to at least stand a chance. They did in the Race/Circuit modes of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and in God knows how many other racing games (F-Zero, for one).

That's not that much justification. Just because they do it doesn't mean we should. Sonic is the fastest character, thus, nobody else should stand a chance in race. You're more than welcome to forceskin during a race to experiment with different characters, but there's no rhyme or reason to doing something like removing the thok. All it does is break consistency.

Sonic is supposed to be the fastest, SURE, but thok is just taking that a bit overboard. When has Sonic ever relied on an air ability to be the fastest? I'm talking classics here, no SAdv2 double tap right in air crap.

I'd personally be okay with it if it was less of a speed boost and more of a midair redirection. As much as I don't like race thokfests, I still have to admit it's useful, hell, almost essential at points, in negotiating certain tight corners. If you ask me, thokspeed should be equal to or lesser than Sonic's actual top speed just to make straight-line thokking pointless.

As far as Tails and Knux advantages goes, well, that's more a level design issue than anything else. It's hardly impossible to make a race map that balances the pros and cons of all the characters - it's just that nobody ever bothers to do so.

Also, FYI, kinda hard to forceskin Knux or Tails in Race/Circuit when I CAN'T HOST.

Oh, and before anyone goes "then you have no right to complain." I damn well DO have a right to complain when, as a member of this community, my fun is being ruined by a gameplay mechanic that CAN be fixed, than the Devs KNOW DAMN WELL can be fixed, but that certain Devs REFUSE to fix.

This would be fine.
